Google optimiert Bildersuche für Android und iPhone

Google hat seine Bildersuche für das iPhone und Handys mit dem Betriebssystem Android verbessert. Sie zeigt jetzt bis zu 20 Suchergebnisse auf einer Seite an. Außerdem kann der Nutzer seine Suchergebnisse filtern.

Google hat seine Bildersuche für das iPhone und die Handys mit Android-Betriebssystem, wie das T-Mobile G1, verbessert. Die mobile Bildersuche steht für alle Nutzer in den USA, Großbritannien und Japan zur Verfügung. Wann sie auch in Deutschland genutzt werden kann, gab das Unternehmen nicht bekannt.

Neue Bildersuche von Google

Die neue Bildersuche zeigt bis zu 20 Suchergebnisse auf einer Seite. Bisher wurden nur fünf Vorschaubilder auf jeder Seite gelistet. Mit einem Klick kann das Suchergebnis im Vollbild angezeigt werden oder Google öffnet die Webseite, auf der das Bild veröffentlicht ist. Die neue Suche enthält auch einen Filter, mit dem man nur nach Gesichtern, Clip Art, Zeichnungen oder Fotos suchen kann. Der Suchmaschinenbetreiber treibt die Anpassung seiner Dienste an mobile Endgeräte aktiv voran. Erst im Februar hat Google eine neue Version von Google Maps für das Handy veröffentlicht. Die Version 3.0 zeigt nicht nur den eigenen Standort an, sondern auch den Aufenthaltsort von Freunden und Bekannten. Diese müssen aber der Veröffentlichung ihrer Standortdaten vorher zustimmen.

Google Maps 3.0 läuft auf Smartphones mit den Betriebssystemen Android, Blackberry OS, Symbian S60 und Windows Mobile. Das iPhone soll baldmöglichst hinzukommen. Um die neueste Version von Google Maps aus das Mobiltelefon zu laden, geht man mit dem Handybrowser auf die Website http://google.com/latitude.
